Most standard ultrasound machines use a beam that’s about the size of a pencil tip. While that works well for many parts of the body, breast tissue is complex and deserves a more comprehensive approach.
Our Clarius breast ultrasound uses a wide beam—just over 2 inches across. This allows our technologists to see more tissue at once, creating a clearer, more continuous view of the breast. The result is improved consistency, better visualization, and greater confidence that no small areas are skipped or overlooked.
2. Calibrated Only for Breast Tissue — Not a One-Size-Fits-All Machine
Traditional ultrasound machines are designed to scan many parts of the body—thyroid, uterus, abdomen, and breasts—setting a new calibration each scan, lot of room for error. Breast tissue has unique density and structure that requires specialized calibration.
The Clarius breast ultrasound is specifically calibrated for breast tissue density. It cannot be used for other parts of the body, and that’s a good thing. This dedicated focus allows for clearer imaging and more meaningful information, especially for women with dense breast tissue.
